Your rights

Minneapolis prohibits source-of-income discrimination under a 2017 city ordinance, upheld by the Minnesota Supreme Court in 2020 — a landlord generally cannot refuse you, or advertise "no Section 8," because you would pay with a voucher. The ordinance has an undue-hardship exception, and Minnesota has no statewide protection.

Neighborhood

Near North sits just northwest of downtown Minneapolis, served by Metro Transit buses along Olson Memorial Highway and Plymouth Avenue.
